Back to normal.

This is a rare occurrence-it's a little after 6:30am on a Monday and I have a smile on my face. Do you know why?? Dave is going to work~woo hoo! I am not celebrating the fact that he is gone I am celebrating the fact the he is well enough to go to work and that our lives are getting back to normal. Ahhhh...sweet routine, I am such a creature of habit. Aren't we all?

I just can't even tell you what a horribly-long-never-ending week this was. Just to sum it up.
Dave was sick for 7 days straight, he quit smoking (which may have contributed to a tad bit of irritability on top of the sickness:)) My grandma was in the hospital all week and had 2 surgeries. I am plain ole' pooped. And I'm not even the one who was sick!

I just want to say thanks to everyone who will be praying for Dave today. I know he will struggle more out in the workplace being around other smokers etc...I pray that God will keep him strong! I am reminded of the verse, "Greater is he who is in us, then he who is of the world."

  1. I can pray! And I will pray! I smoked from when I was 15 until I was almost 20, 2 packs a day. I quit when I became a Christian, at the time I am sure it wasn't easy, but now I am so glad I did!

  2. Glad you're feeling better at the start of a fresh week and a healthy husband, it really is no fun to have sick husbands or sick kids. Sure makes you appreciate normalcy, I can so relate!

That is so awesome that your husband is working to quit smoking, that is not an easy thing to do. I will keep him in my prayers for sure.
