Well I guess it is time for a new post. I've kind of been taking a "computer break." And FYI I cancelled my facebook account-so if I am no longer your friend just know it wasn't personal-ok? Besides I am pretty sure that everyone I would "talk" with on facebook is on blogger-and it just made me feel a little creepy to have so much information about me and my family out in the online world. Ok, enough said. I have so much to say I don't know where to start-I guess I will start with Preston. Preston is on his way to being a 15 month old. I know I say it all the time but I can't believe how fast time goes by, sometimes I just stare at him and wonder where my baby went?!? He has transitioned from babyhood to full fledged toddler. He can scream and make sounds I didn't know little boys could even make. This just makes my job a little more proactive than it was in the past. He requires a lot more attention and one on one time. This is the time to teach him and I pray daily that God would give him a teachable heart:) He still keeps us laughing-he is the only kid I know that says bye-bye to his hands when you put his mittens on-and when you take them off he waves to himself and says "hi!" I often wonder what is going on inside his head. Oh, he has learned a new word-"discount" and no it's not because of my thriftiness. You know that Progressive car insurance commercial where the guy is shopping around for car insurance and the progressive lady asks him if he is a safe drive....owns his own home... and then yells discount! For some reason he LOVES this commercial, he gets the biggest smile on his face when it comes on. I will have to post a video of it sometime.

Dave and I had a productive weekend. We did a lot of rearranging, moved the tv out of the living room which we are loving by the way! Dave made a trip to the dump which has been way overdue. Now today he is sick. He actually hasn't even got out of bed at all. He has a temp, sore throat etc. For being a guy who rarely gets sick, he sure has gotten sick a lot this winter!

I've accomplished one of my goals-and backed up all our photos! Woo-hoo, I feel a big pressure lifted off my shoulders. Picasa, which I usually love-has been giving me a lot of trouble lately, not sure what's going on with that.
****Ok, that post was written a couple of days ago-so onto new things. Dave is still SICK! I guess he caught the "crud" that has been going around town. Luckily Preston and I haven't gotten it and I am praying that we won't! I have to say though, I think Dave and I have a newfound appreciation for one another. (not that we didn't appreciate eachother before-but know we are just doubly appreciative:)) It is just really weird not having him come home at 4:00-there is not break to my day, no looking forward to daddy comming home and giving mommy a break. I am plain ole TIRED. And Dave has a better understanding of why I am so tired when he comes home. He gets to experience first hand the screaming of Preston, all day. Ok, so it's not really all day but sometimes it really feels like it. He's not really screaming to be naughty (although there are times he is) but the majority of the time he is just playing. In the last 2 days I've had people make the comment, "is that a baby or a...eagle, mouse, monkey and parrot. I am glad the general public finds it cute. Anyways...I better make use of nap time right now:)

  4. That is really funny that Preston loves that commercial, that cracked me up. :) Cute that he says bye-bye to his hands and waves hello to himself too, what a little cutie you have.
Hope your hubby gets feeling better soon, there really has been a lot of crud going around huh...
And then, I'm curious, what did you use to back up your photos? I need to do the same, and I've had people recommend picasa but have had issues with it too.
Oh and BTW, totally agree with you on the facebook thing, I deleted my account too when my sister's got hacked into. It was just one more thing to keep up with anyway, and it takes enough time just to do my blog. but anyway.... :)
