why the microwave didn't get up yesterday...

well...the weekend is at an end. dave is just finishing putting up the micro hood-it ended up taking way longer that i thought it would, but it looks fabulous! it would have been up yesterday but we had a little accident that put our plans on hold-actually dave had an accident. {no, not that kind! don't be silly!} see, i have a really bad habit of leaving cupboards open...which doesn't affect me because i am so short, dave on the other hand is about a foot taller than me and he is always running into the cupboards that i leave open. can you guess where this is heading yet? well saturday afternoon i was downstairs on the computer when i hear the sound of a 200 pound man hit the floor-hard. i ran upstairs and dave was laying on the floor with blood gushing, cause you know how head wounds bleed, right? after my husband lovingly asked me for the millionth time to please close the cupboards we rushed to urgent care where he ended up getting 3 stitches-by a student who kept saying oops as she was stitching him up. nice. when we first got to the doctors office and the doctor asked what happened, dave told him that he ran into a cupboard, the doctor looked right at me and said, "i bet you left it open didn't you?" he must have been a married man. oh, the guilt. it will be a while before i live that one down. so that is why the microwave didn't make it up yesterday. and honey, if you are reading this, i am really, really, really sorry! i promise that i will try to remember to shut the cupboards from now on!
