silhouettes

I don't know about you, but I know nothing about art-therefore the only things that are really hung on my walls are pictures. Lots and lots of pictures. {do you think you can have too many pictures of your family on your walls?} So every once in a while I try to hang a picture of scenery or something that doesn't have one of us in it.

This morning while looking on the Amy Butler website {she has tons of free patterns, paper craft patterns and so on} I ran across these silhouettes. Originally they are a pattern that requires sewing-but you all know that I can't sew to save my life, so I printed out the templates and cut them out onto...you guessed it, Amy Butler card stock instead.
It was super easy, quick, and free since All I needed was the paper and frames which I already had!
So now I have this lovely little butterfly and birdie gracing my living room wall.
You know what I think would be really cute? Is to do these in super girly colors like pink, purple and green and then hang them in a little girls {or big girls} room.

Ok, now I am done talking about Amy Butler-and no Angie, she is not paying me ;)

  1. Very cute silhouettes, and thanks for the journal giveaway at 4RE. They are wonderful. I especially like the one with the verse about God taking care of the birds of the air. That is a verse very near and dear to me. Thanks again. Jackie

  2. I adore silhouettes! These are absolutely precious - very nice! I'll have to check out the Amy Butler site as I've been wanting to try my hand at some black and white silhouettes, but the patterned ones you've made are just too sweet!
