As Christians we may feel like we have to have it together all the time. Smile when we're hurting. Saying we're fine when we're not. Sometimes I just need to remind myself that it is ok to admit my lack of faith. I really love the bible verse in Mark chapter 9 verse 24. "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief." This man, the father of a demon possessed son "plead with Jesus to help him to have the greater faith that the Lord demanded of him." (John MacArthur) Sometimes I also have to plead with God to have greater faith. I have to come to Him humbly admitting my doubt, anger, hopelessness...because to who else can I go to?

  1. you have such a sweet soul. we can never be perfect on this earth, thank the Lord we have him to lean on even in our doubt! :)

  2. I love this post. I really appreciate your honesty and vulnerability, none of us have it all together. Thank God for His grace.

  3. ohmygoodness, we were just talking about this in our worship committee meeting on Sunday! It was a topic we were selecting songs for. There is a Nichole Nordeman song called Help Me Believe. I love it!
