A day in the life of the Campbells....

Well I have been thinking about what to post and can't really come up with anything too exciting! I don't have any big news to write about, our life is pretty ho hum right now. As I am typing I smell a weird smell with an unknown source, Preston is napping, Dave is at work and I am here thinking of something interesting to say.

Preston will be 6 months old in 5 days! He isn't too interested in crawling yet which is just fine with me. He is sleeping and napping wonderfully. He new favorite thing to do is to swing on his new outdoor baby swing. He giggles and smiles, it's really cute! He likes eating Popsicles with daddy on the front porch when Dave gets home from work. And he likes secrets. Dave will whisper in his ear and his breathing will get really quiet and he stops moving like he's really trying to listen to what your saying and then he'll start smiling it's pretty funny! Preston has a healthy appetite and loves to eat-what can I say, he takes after his parents.

Dave keeps busy around the house, there are always projects to do and I think he likes it! For years he has been doing projects for other people now he gets to reap the benefits. He is still working at Gonzaga, which is nice because it is only 10 minutes away, sometimes he'll stop home for lunch, it's kind of neat. He also gets done at 2:30 so we get to spend plenty of time with him which both Preston and I like. It sure beats when he was working out of town, and working 50+ hours a week!

As for me hmmm... what can I say about my life these days? My day usually starts around 7am and starts with a bottle, changing a diaper, breakfast those kinds of things. Preston takes his morning nap around 9 or 9:30 and that is when I get myself ready for the day. I am reading the book Loving God with all your Mind by Elizabeth George and I am motivated to make a goal for myself to be more prepared for my day. Preparing practically in the evening by cleaning, making Daves lunch etc and then preparing spiritually in the morning. That is something that I have been really struggling with, not because I don't have the time, but because I don't make the time, now you can all hold me accountable.

Well, the mystery smell is now getting unbearable I am going to run upstairs now!
