Well, life has been pretty mellow around our house lately. I've barely ventured outside this week, I've been kind of a hermit! I did enjoy the cooler days and opened our windows to let the breeze in-it was a nice change!
Something that God has been teaching me lately is that He is in control. It is easy to believe and apply this concept when things are going smooth. It is when things are not going the way I want them to or they way I think they should when I get to put this concept into practice. (i must not be getting it, because God sure is giving me lots of chances to practice this-hmmm....) In the book I am reading Loving God with All Your Mind Elizabeth George talks about the verse Jeremiah 29:11. I remind myself that God has good plans for me, that everything that happens to me is filtered through His hands and that He allows it. I can rest assured that He has a plan, I just don't know what it is:) And since I don't know what it is, I can go about my life and not worry. Like E. George says "keep on, keeping on." So that's what I will do.
I hate not knowing though. I am nosy and like to be "in the know."
