Finally...

i got some answers regarding little P's breathing issues that seem to come and go.

Last night was another rough night. Someone was telling me that sleep deprivation is used as a form of torture...well last night Dave and I were a little tortured, okay, maybe I'm exaggerating. But at the time it felt like it! This morning I had it. I got in the car and went to urgent care when I got there they told me they don't accept his insurance (even though I called before I left) anyways...by this time I have throw up all over me, I am trying to get him in the car and people are staring...did I mention that I am crying too? I am sure this was a sight. I drive around the ER at Sacred Heart 3 times trying to decide if I should go in or wait. I ended up calling Ps doctors office and they told me to come in in an hour. Perfect, time to go take a shower and give P a bath and pull myself together. This is what I found out. Preston does have reflux, reflux can include wheezing and respiratory problems, and gets worse with colds-which as you all know can be pretty frequent with little ones. Unfortunately in the past whenever I would take him to the doctor he seemed fine, but today he was really struggling to get a good breath and they could see what I was talking about-hallelujah! I am not crazy! So, this morning he received 2 nebulizer treatments, a cortisone shot and a prescription that will hopefully get him feeling better. So now I know what's going on, and the doctors know what's going on....next time they will send us home with a nebulizer. He is feeling much better by the way-he is still sick, but he is breathing easy!

  3. Oh my. I'm glad you were able to figure out what is up with P! I'm sorry that it was a long and drawn out process though. Definitely not fun! Hopefully he is doing better after a few days w/treatment???
