a new addition to our kitchen

I am a list maker. I love lists. They are absolutely essential to my day! I constantly have what seems like a million thoughts running through my head that if I am going to remember anything I have to write it down. Now writing your list out on a piece of paper is the most obvious way to make a list...paper is convenient and travels easy-but I am tired of having little pieces of paper that are never in the same spot. Sooo....my husband, Dave built me this chalkboard that is 3 feet X 5 feet and hung right smack dab in the middle of our kitchen, a very obvious spot! I had him make it so big so that Preston can draw on the bottom half, while I use the top half. No more excuses for forgetting now! My original idea was to write out each day of the week and write out a flexible schedule and what activities are going on on that particular day...story time, what is for dinner etc. So far, I've just been writing out one day at a time {and as you can see I have a Costco list going on the side;) } I cannot even begin to tell you how much I LOVE this. Since I have this running list going I can easily transfer it to a piece of paper when I go to run my errands-no more little pieces filling the bottom of my purse. I am obsessed with chalkboard paint now and am continually looking to see what I can paint with it! I read on someones blog {I don't remember whose} about chalkboard contact paper!! {you can google it if you are interested} let me know if you get some and what you do with it!

  5. Very cute, we are in the process of turning our laundry room door into a chalkboard door/dutch door. There's a picture up, but it's not done yet. Anyway, love it.
