Joy.

This morning I found myself praying for

JOY

for myself and for my family. Not that there is anything
in particular that has gone wrong-on the contrary it has been
a joyful, happy week so far. But, in spite of the
happiness, those little irritating things can add up
until they feel like a burden. You know?

I was praying some of these verses and thought I would share them-maybe you need joy today too?

You will show me the path of life; In your presence is fullness of joy. Psalm 16:11

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy. Romans 15:13

Joy comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5

These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. John 15:11

....my soul shall be joyful in God... Isaiah 61:10

For the Lord your God will bless you in all your harvest and in all the work of your hands, and your joy will be complete. Deuteronomy 16:14-16

for the joy of the LORD is your strength. Nehemiah 8:11

He will yet fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy. Job 8:21

The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. Psalm 19:8

Restore to me the joy of Your salvation...Psalm 51:12

You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of joy in Your presence. Acts 2:28

Today, I pray that you will have a spirit of joy!

  1. Yes, I know! My joy was zapped with behavioral issues this morning. Thanks for the reminder and the great verses!
