scheduling time to slow down.

If there is a time to be still and  slow down, it is most certainly the month of October!
I love for how this one month, leaves come alive with color, the world is vibrant with its red, orange, and yellow hues. It is so special-and that it is only for a short time, not to be missed is what contributes to this special time of year.

If you don't make the time to enjoy the beauty of the season-it is likely that it will pass by before you even get a chance to miss it. Isn't that the way life is?

We are so busy all of the time. There is always something to do, or so it seems. Some chore that can't wait.

I have a hard time "being still."  I am a doer, I don't like to sit for too long or I get antsy. But I would like to learn-it sounds so good, and refreshing!

One of the reasons that I love being a member of the gratitude community over at A Holy Experience is because of the accountabiliy, I know that every Monday morning-I am going to post a list of what I am thankful for the previous week. And I know, that I need to think about it before I sit down at the computer! I want to live a thankful life-I want to be an example to Preston of being thankful and not a complainer. To think of all of the things that have gone right instead of focusing on what has gone wrong.

If you want to be a member of the gratitude community go here to sign up! I would love to read what your thankful for!

Luke 10:42 but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.

Today I make a choice, I will chose what is better. I will make the time to slow down,  be still. I will take in with all of my senses the beauty that surrounds me. In the form of nature, laughter, my sweet little boys smile, a kiss from my husband.
