I know it's been a while since I've posted, but if you read my other blog or fb you know that we've been busy! Busy celebrating Christmas then Prestons birthday and then my birthday-this year I turned 30!!! It's kind of shocking that time just keeps moving as swiftly as ever, another year has passed. I can't believe that I have a 2 year old! I remember so vividly, like it was yesterday being pregnant, then being in the hospital and so on. As I was looking at my 2009 calendar remembering the year it seems like it was just yesterday that I was writing things down, milestones, Dr's appointments etc.-it is almost 1 year later and doesn't seem like time has passed at all, how can that be? Time, I just don't understand you. What makes you go fast and what makes you go slow?

On Wednesday December 30 I was very aware that this was the last day my "baby" would be 1. I thought about it all day. As I rocked him to sleep that night I thought, this is the last time I will rock him as a one year old, tomorrow he will wake up a 2 year old. As he slept Dave and I just stared at him. They same kind of wonder, and marvel like when he was just a newborn. That "awe" hasn't gone away and I don't imagine it will. I have a hunch he will continue to amaze us his whole life.

How we celebrated the big 0-2.
On his actual birthday we went to Jump N Bounce with the Weavers and then out to lunch at Rons. The next day we had a family party. Dave made a delicious clam chowder along with salad, rolls, and lots of goodies. Preston got a wagon, scooter, puppy bank, tools, train set, and trucks. With his birthday right after Christmas Preston is set for the year! Here are a few pictures.

  3. looks like he had a great birthday! That cake is amazing, did you make it? I am so impressed. Levi likes to play daddy's guitar, but he really likes to play his harmonica. Aren't they at such a fun age?
