It's been a busy couple of weeks at our house. As soon as Christmas is over we gear up for birthday celebrations. Preston, my baby, just turned two! {I might have had a 30th birthday somewhere in the middle of all of this too...} We celebrated on his actual birthday by going to Jump N' Bounce with my sister and her family and then going out to lunch. Then last night we had a party with our families-it was so much fun-I just love having family get togethers!  Preston really got into the spirit of celebrating. He's been walking around  the house singing "Happy Birthday" for the last few days. He picked out a guitar cake and was really excited about it-I felt like he "got it" he understood what was going on. Dave made an excellent clam chowder and I am eating left over crab dip and and 7 layer dip as I type. Mmmmm.

Here is the guitar cake-it was really fun to make!

  1. The cake turned out great! I may have to borrow the pan for Jonah's b-day...

    Love the cake!
Are we really 30 this year? I always thought I'd be old when I was 30. :)
