peace.

To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith no explanation is possible.
-st thomas aquinas

I've got the peace that passes understanding down in my heart, down in my heart, down in my heart, I've got the peace that passes understanding down in my heart, down in my heart to stay and I'm so happy so very happy I've got the love of Jesus in my heart.......

Do you remember this song? Well, I've been singing to myself this morning. I've been thinking a lot about peace and the peace we have when we are walking with Jesus.

I just think that it is amazing (I have a few circumstances in my head) the things we can go through, the rest of the world can't understand how anyone can live through that and have peace all the while. The calm amidst the storm. The peace that comes with knowing that someone much bigger than we are is in control, loves us and has good plans for us, promises to use the things that Satan means for bad for our good.

It's so good to be able to sit back and breathe and know it is not up to little old me. I can be at peace as I watch the plans of God unfurl.

Just a thought.

Be at rest once more, O my soul,
for the Lord has been good to you.
Psalm 116:7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6
You will keep in perfect peace, him whose
mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.
Isaiah 26:3
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you;
I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
John 14:27

  1. I love knowing you're sitting in your house feeling this peace, reflecting on it this morning, opening your curtains to God's light...makes me so anxious to get back home...and then I think, PEACE, PEACE...be at rest once more O my soul, for the Lord has been good to you. Thank you for sharing your heart this morning my far away neighbor.
