One thing all of us ladies have in common is that we love to find vintage items, discarded treasures, we love the thrill of the hunt when it comes to yard sales and to scour our local thrift stores. Until.....we all came to a point where:
1.we were running out of storage space and
2.we didn't necessarily need these items.
That's when we decided that something needed to be done. PIMH was moving into a bigger building and it seemed like the perfect time to rent a space and voila 'Seasons' was born. We now have a reason to continue to hunt down thrown out items and give them a new purpose, a new season to be loved and adored by someone else.
The name of our booth is based on Ecclesiastes 3: 1,6
To everything there is a season...
a time to keep & a time to throw away.
isn't this verse perfect? Life is all about seasons. Each individual vendor in our booth is in a different season of life. I have 2 small children. My mom is an empty nester, who is celebrating her 40th anniversary this weekend! My sisters have 4, and 5 kids...ranging in ages from 2-10 one with special medical needs. Stacy like my sister amy also has 5 kids ranging in ages 2-11.
We like to take the things that others have thrown out and give it a new season in life-a season to shine, to bring joy to someone, maybe to evoke a memory from a previous time.
Today is the Grand Opening of Paint In My Hair. The store is filled with such fun and cute items-there are a lot of great vendors there-even if you are in a season where you don't need anything come anyways-there are lots of awesome door prizes and you will be inspired at the creative ladies who worked really hard on their booths. Doors open at 10:30. See my sidebar if you need directions.
Here are some pictures of our booth. Its amazing how much stuff you can cram into a 5X9 space! :)
**Currently we are all collaborating on a new blog-Seasons. It's not quite up and running yet but that's where we will be posting about our adventures and all of the goodies that we find!**
