Well, blogging has definitely taken a back seat in my life lately. I have been so uninspired and in a creative fog. I feel like I don't have anything interesting or inspiring to say. Do you other bloggers feel pressure to write "good" stuff? I don't know why I do it to myself!

Preston is almost 14 months old! He is soooo big and walking (running) talking and making me laugh so much. He latest "thing" is to say hi when he is nervous or in trouble or just plain doesn't know what to say. One day last week I came out of the bathroom and the refrigerator was open and there was a whole pitcher of orange juice on the floor and Preston was having the time of his life. I wish I had a picture to post, but at the time looking for the camera just didn't seem like a priority! Preston just grabbed my legs and said, "hi, hi, hi, hi, hi" it's like he knew he did something bad but was too busy having fun to care.

We've been spending lots of time going on walks-I've been trying to be good at going jogging at least every other day. But Monday I woke up to sore shins, (darn shin splints!) so I've been taking it kind of easy this week. Plus it is not very motivating when it is cold and foggy outside. I really wish I had a treadmill!!

Dave and I started taking a marriage class/bible study on Wednesday nights at church. We were kind of leery about doing a mid week activity (we're kind of wimps) plus it starts when Preston normally goes to bed, but we really liked the first class and I think it will be really fun!

Preston and I started going to story time on Fridays at the downtown library-it's a lot of fun. He loves going there and looking out all the windows and at the cars driving by. This morning we met the Lamberts there and Carries little boy (who is 4) said about Preston, " I like this kid!" and kept calling him "hey kid" So now Preston has the nickname of Kid to add to his list....Buddy, preppie, (I think he's grown out of Preppie-poo, I hope;) and now kid. I like it.

Well laundry is calling my name so I better get at it!

  1. Cute about the o.j. :)
My boys have teamed up in me while I was in the shower and did that with things like a whole bowl full of chocolate pudding. It was such a mess and they even tracked chocolate footprints on the living room carpet and stairs where we lived at the time... Gotta love it though right? Your Preston sure seems like a cutie.

  2. Too cute! When my son was little he'd say "hey boy, or hey girl" ... funny.

I totally understand about the blogging thing -- I'm really in a blogging fog! I'm hoping with soccer and baseball starting (and hopefully some nicer weather) I'll get back into blogging more.

I have your $ for those magnets tucked away in my wallet...so I can give it to you the next time I see you -- how long has it been since I asked you for those? LOL!
