One of those days...

...or should I say on of those weeks. Can it be 'one of those weeks' when it's only Tuesday???

I am constantly reminding myself that children are a blessing. Even if that little blessing told me 'I was very irritating' and then the next day called me a 'bimbo'. Yes, my three year old son called me a BIMBO!!!  In his defense, he didn't know what the word bimbo meant. Trust me, after I explained it to him, I told him never to call mommy a bimbo again!! {FYI-He learned it by watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles}

But he also does cute things too...like every morning when he wakes up he asks me, "honey, how is your 'rubob' doing?" He means my rhubarb plant. And when I tuck him in bed at night and tell him that I'm so glad I'm his mommy he tells me... "and I'm so glad I'm your boy!"

I guess it makes up for being called an irritating bimbo:)

behold, children are a gift of the Lord.

  1. Yes, I believe it can (be one of those weeks on Tuesdays). BUT - the good news is, you can alter the rest of the week by getting up early (before the P man) and spending time reading the Word and praying for your day...and drinking a cup of coffee. I speak from experience!

    Preston is such a cutie patootie. I love how verbal he is. It's great that you never have to know what he is thinking.

    I was kidding about the sassy sauce yesterday - I know that he's just 3 and doesn't know what a bimbo is. You guys are great parents and do such a good job training him in the ..."ways of righteousness." He is a blessing to all of us!

  3. Oh do I relate!! One minute my 5 year old is sticking his tongue out at my and calling me bad mommy, the next he is hugging me and calling me happy mommy...
    there are variations on this theme with my 8 yr. old and 2 yr. old too=)...but when I was gone all day today, I missed them so much I was homesick for them!=)
